For the Attention of the Vehicle Maintenance Course Team
In 2024, Stellantis launched the Rising Stars Technical Traineeship Programme. This initiative is designed specifically for students studying Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair at FE colleges and is distinct from an apprenticeship pathway.
The programme is delivered in partnership with colleges and provides a structured route into employment with a local Stellantis brand retailer, including Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat, Vauxhall, Jeep and Alfa Romeo dealerships.
We recognise that many Level 3 qualified students struggle to secure technician roles due to limited real-world workshop experience. Rising Stars addresses this gap by combining college study with structured, paid dealership experience.
The model is straightforward:
Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair at your college
- Advanced technical training delivered by the Stellantis Performance Academy
- Up to 2 days per week paid employment as a Technical Trainee at a local Stellantis main retailer
= A confident, employment-ready Level 3 Vehicle Technician
Students remain enrolled at college while gaining practical, hands-on experience in a professional workshop environment. This approach reduces employer risk, strengthens technical competence and supports long-term career progression within the Stellantis network.
