Assistive Technology is software, equipment and apps which can help you with your studies to make learning more accessible.

You can use Assistive Technology to help you with reading a text, note-taking, drafting an essay, time management, stress management and much more!

Join our Assistive Technology drop-in sessions

Would you like to learn something new? Do you have any questions about Assistive Technology? If so, we will be available for Teams drop-ins on Mondays and Fridays at 9:30.

These weekly sessions are available to all students. Please come along if you have any questions about assistive technology and how it can help you during your course. We are here to help!

Workshops

We provide training and advice to all students on built-in assistive features in Windows and Mac, college software and free apps. Join us on Wednesdays at 2 pm to find out how to make the most out of technology to support your learning.

We will show you how to find and use those amazing built-in features you all have access to.

College Site Licenses 

Come along to Workshop 2 to explore Read & Write 12 and Inspiration 9.

DSA Students  

Once you receive your needs assessment, we will contact you to book an appointment for the training session on the software recommended by your Assessor. 

We will also provide regular review sessions to see how you are getting on with the software and how it can assist you with your further studies.
