National bank holiday during men’s World Cup – Monday 15 June 2026

As you may be aware, the Scottish Government announced a one-off national bank holiday to mark Scotland’s return to the men’s football World Cup for the first time since 1998.  

The holiday, on Monday 15 June, comes the day after Scotland’s opening match of the tournament.  

To enable staff and students to enjoy the game, the College will be closed on Monday 15 June. Classes will resume and campuses will reopen as normal on Tuesday 16 June.
